The Microfabrication Facility (MFF) is Michigan Tech's resource for micro- and nano-scaled research and development of solid state electronics, micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS), and microsystems materials and devices.

EE5900: Special Topics - Microfabrication Laboratory

The Microfabrication Laboratory Course will again be offered this Fall 2009 semester as an EE5900: Special Topics - Microfabrication Laboratory, CRN 84543, for 2 credits. Daw Don Cheam (dcheam@mtu.edu) will serve as the primary instructor with support from Mr. Bill Knudsen (wknudsen@mtu.edu) and Dr. Paul Bergstrom.

This course serves as the primary safety and basic training course for future use of the Microfabrication Facility at Michigan Technological University. Dr. Cheam has extensive experience with the facility and is planning a new device target for the fabrication training.

The course will be open for enrollment later today, based on . Enrollment is limited, and the safety training in the course is a prerequisite for future use of the facility for graduate researchers.
