DP Controller Main Window

DP Main Window

The software and icons refer to the DP Controller software for Windows. DP refers to the Olympus DP70 Digital Microscope Camera. Click the toolbars above to view the main window.

1. Turn off the transmitted light source. VIEW
2. Open the fluorescence shutter by moving the switch left to the open circle. VIEW
3. Retract the light path selector knob all the way to open the light path to the camera. VIEW
4. Use the filter guide to select the correct filter for fluorescent light. VIEW
5. Focus the image using the fine and coarse adjustment knobs. VIEW
6. Manually adjust the exposure of the image by selecting the Manual Exposure Mode in the Capture tab. VIEW
7. Use the Exposure Time slider bar to produce a suitable image. VIEW
8. Once a satisfactory image is obtained, select the proper Still-Image Size. VIEW
Capture Icon9. Select the camera icon to capture the image. A new window will appear with the captured image.    
10. Once the image collection is complete, save your image as JPEG or TIF file.    
11. When not viewing the sample and at the completion of your session, close the fluorescence shutter.
