August 23, 2017. I replaced the vacuum pump yesterday and that fixed one problem. However, I found that the SEC vacuum gauge failed. That part will be here tomorrow and I’ll get it installed right away. Look for a status update tomorrow around noon.

August 9, 2017. The FESEM is ready to be used. We made a few hardware changes to isolate the problem. This is a test – we may still have trouble, but what we just finished should help us finally identify the problem.
August 9, 2017. The FESEM logbook system isn’t working right now. IT is working on the problem. We are trying to make it a more reliable system, but we aren’t there yet. I’ll let you know when it’s back online.
August 8, 2017. The FESEM and its logbook is working. The FIB shutdown sometime in the last few days, so I’m restarting now. Not sure why it shut off. I’ll let you know when it is back online.
