October 16, 2018. I finally got a cooling system working but haven’t had time yet to the FIB check the operation. I can’t do it until Friday. If it all checks out we can begin using it the week of 10/22. Thanks for your patience.

October 1, 2018. We have had real problems getting the cooling system back online. Once we do the FIB is ready to go. I have ordered more parts and we have enlisted the assistance of Facilities to speed the repair up. If all goes well we should be back online …
September 19, 2018. I’m having trouble clearing contamination from the cooling system lines. I’ve done a few flushes but now the pump has failed. I have another pump to install and with luck I can get it back online today. I’ll send you an update.
September 17, 2018. There is a problem with the water cooling system. Don’t use the FIB. I’m on it today. Updates to follow.
September 14, 2018. 4:20 pm. FIB logbook system is back online. September 14, 2018. 1:12 pm. I’ll put a tablet to use until its back online.
September 13, 2018. The FIB is back online now. I know that work is backed up a little. I’ll be trying to schedule time to work with you all over the next 2 weeks. Contact me by email if you have work to do so I can start scheduling.
September 11, 2018. Hitachi service is here today to start FIB repairs. He has identified the problem and knows where the contamination is located in the column. The repair will require a complete column disassembly. He expects to be finished by Friday morning. I’ll confirm when we are back online.
June 20, 2018. The FIB is still down and will be until sometime in July. We have to wait until the new fiscal year on July 1 to request a service call. Since we aren’t a service contract customer we won’t be a priority for them and may have to …
June 11, 2018. We will have to bring Hitachi in to make the repair. Not sure what the time line is for that. Updates will be sent as I get more information.
June 6, 2018. The FIB is still not working. I am trying steps the engineer has nearly every day, but we are running out of ideas. We may need to bring the engineer here to make the repair. I’ll keep you updated on the status.
